Westville Georgia Video


Westville (located near Lumpkin, Georgia) attempts to emulate life in the mid 19th (pre-war) century, preserving the skills and atmosphere of the era. In the video, the docents take raw cotton, spin the thread or yarn, then loom it into fabric. The fabric is then used for various purposes in the village.

I posted this mostly to test the blog's new ability to directly post videos (most of which were too big for YouTube and other video sites and share them. I hope you find this one interesting. Westville is a fascinating place to visit.
