The hermit crabs came inside tonight as the temp will go down too low tomorrow night for them to stay outside. Princess finds them extremely interesting.
We took a hike behind the house, where there is a creek when rainfall is at normal levels. Today, it is mostly just a rockbed with water in the deeper holes. Click the photos to see larger versions.

Charlotte's 2nd grade teacher has a ceremony every year for her students, recognizing their acheivements for the year. She is very exact about dress, shoes, etc for the students. Below is a photo of Charlotte ready for the day (incidently, she received Principal's Award for all A's in all subjects for the year, Most Improved Writer, and Accelerated Reader Award.
Lea and Charlotte have been part of the GT Speed inline speed skating club since February of this year and raced in their 1st meet this weekend. Below are photos (sorry no action photos - rinks are too dark for my little digi camera's flash to do much.).

Taking a water break. The girl in the middle wasn't skating as she broke her foot in a really dangerous activity: jumping rope!
Charlottes 1st grade teacher helped fan the flames of horse love when her teacher. This Christmas, she got her own horse as a gift from her husband. She called Charlotte and invited her to come meet "Mr. Zanzibar." This is a photo from that meeting. Click the photo to see full-size.
